Residence at Paro

Set into a hillside site in Paro, the house is organised as a sequence of pitched-roof volumes that step down the slope, framing a stone-walled garden terrace between the house and the hill.

A covered deck and courtyard tie the interior to the landscape beyond, carrying the proportion of a traditional Bhutanese roofline into a contemporary plan.
